Do I really need to add a tablet each time water is added to my tank?

The answer to this question really depends on the quality of your water from your source and what you intend to use the water for.

If the purpose of using OxyAzur is just for general water tank maintenance, then we recommend nothing less than one tablet a week in the evenings. If you are unsure about the quality of your water source and want to ensure it’s safety, then we would recommend adding a tablet each time new untreated water is added to the tank, or at very least not exceeding the minimum concentration each tablet can treat.

The three examples below should illustrate the usage more clearly:

Example 1

If you have a 1000L tank with 500L water in the tank and you add an OxyAzur 1000 tablet to the tank. The 500L will now be treated. If 300L new water is added to the tank within the next week, then the total water in the tank is 800L.

Since each OxyAzur 1000 tablet treats 1000L, there will be no need to add an extra tablet.

Example 2

If you have a 1000L tank with 500L water in the tank and you add an OxyAzur 1000 tablet to the tank. The 500L will now be treated. If you consume 400L, there is only 100L of treated water left in the tank. When you add another 900L untreated water to the tank (you now have 1000L) you must now add a new OxyAzur 1000 tablet to maintain the correct concentration.

Example 3

If you have 800L water in your tank and you add one OxyAzur 1000 tablet, you will successfully treat 800L. If you do not add new water to the tank and one week goes by, you need to add a new tablet to maintain the water.
